Remote Learning

We’re committed to ensuring children can continue their education at home. We do this via our remote learning package.

If your child is studying at home, they will be able to immediately access our remote learning resources. Teachers will set work for them to complete. Our teaching teams will set tasks and review work via Google Classroom and email.

Each day we would like your child to:

  • Log in to Google Classroom using their school Google account to complete lessons

  • Complete all videos and assessment tasks found within each lesson for that day

  • Check school email for updates, announcements and changes made to Google Classroom

We have contacted families regarding access to the Internet and devices to make sure you have everything you need to learn. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Read our Remote Learning Statement for more information.

Guide to using Google Classroom

To use Google Classroom, students will need the following information:

  • Username and password from school (not their personal one)

  • A tablet, mobile, laptop or PC

Advice and guidance for families

We'd suggest creating a positive environment for your child to learn at home.

  • Distinguish between weekdays and weekends, to separate school life and home life.

  • Designate a working space if possible, and at the end of the day have a clear cut-off to signal school time is over.

  • Create and stick to a routine, as this is what your child is used to at school. For example, eat breakfast at the same time each morning and make sure  they're dressed before starting the ‘school’ day.

  • Check their access to technology, their timetable and Google Classroom is as expected and contact us if any of these are not available.

  •  Make time for exercise and breaks throughout the day to keep your child active.
