Staff from Stradbroke Primary Academy recently completed the Norfolk Coast Mighty Hike, a challenging 26 mile walk between Cromer and Holkham, raising a staggering £2310 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Stradbroke Strollers successfully completed the hike on Saturday 10th May 2025. The team of seven staff members all completed the 26.2 miles course on what was a very hot and sunny day. The route was tough, particularly the 3.5 miles along a stretch of shingle covered beach. This certainly tested the legs after already walking over 7 miles before this section.

The water and fuel stations along the walk were really welcomed by the team and supported them on the journey. It was hard but the many sore muscles, blisters and aching feet didn't deter the group from achieving their challenge. There were frequent cheers and waves of support from the public during the walk which helped to spur the team on, particularly the last few miles which seemed endless. Emotions were running high at the finishing line as the extent of the challenge was realised and the fact it was for such a worth charity.

The team would like to thank all those who kindly donated towards this amount and gave messages of support and congratulations.
